Radio personality with Accra FM, Nana Romeo made Ghanaians recently over his highly unprofessional attitude he exhibited towards the first lady of Rufftown Records, Wendy Shay.

That was the second time Nana Romeo’s name is echoed on everyone’s lips after he infamously sacked A-list singer KiDi from the studios of Accra FM after he arrived late for an interview session with him.

The drama with Wendy Shay happened when she went to Accra FM to promote her new single, ‘Emergency’ which featured Bosom Pyung. In the course of the interview, Nana Romeo did not stick to main theme for which reason Wendy was there but started asking her to confirm if indeed she was sleeping with Bullet, her manager.

Wendy Shay got infuriated and barged out of the studio, a situation that has been hailed by practically all Ghanaians. In the light of this, let’s look at some notable celebrities who blasted Nana Romeo fir his unprofessionalism.

1. Beverly Afaglo

Ghanaian actress cum entrepreneur, Beverly Afaglo, while reacting to the trending story, advised radio and TV presenters to start showing some respect to celebrities because a time will come when they won’t get any of them to interview.

Taking to IG, she posted: “It’ll get to a time that these presenters and producers won’t get any celebrity for interviews again because if they keep disrespecting us and twisting our words to defame us, and destroy our hard earned reputations for trends, then we will all advice ourselves “.

2.Shatta Wale

An angry Shatta Wale blasted Nana Romeo for his gross disrespect and told him bluntly that the day he will try this nonsense on him, he’ll slap him in a video he posted on his Snapchat.

The Dancehall act said among other things that he’s relishing the chance to come to his studio so Nana Romeo asks him dumb questions and exhibit the same kind of uncouth behaviour he extended to Wendy Shay and KiDi, that’s the juncture he’ll give him some dirty slaps that will make him quit radio instantly.

3. Becca

Songstress Becca was overly pissed when she heard the news. She mentioned that she hardly comments on trending news but she’s compelled to make an exception out of this because what Nana Romeo did was highly unacceptable.

She wrote: “I can be quiet on many things but not this… This attitude from Accra FM host Nana Romeo is absolutely unacceptable and he needs to urgently apologize to Wendy and Kidi immediately. Trying to harrass any female, especially in our industry will never be condoned, #Apologize”.

Secretary and Counsel at Office of the President of Ghana, Lawyer Kow Essuman also shared his opinion about the trending subject.

He argued that Nana Romeo would not have asked a male guest a similar question, wondering why Wendy Shay’s private sex life became a matter of discussion.

“Wendy Shay did the right thing by cutting short the interview. The host will not do that to a male artist so why Wendy Shay? Why should her private sex life be the subject of your interview,” he said in a tweet.
