Highly Spiritual Music superstar, songwriter and dancer, Mr Drew announces his presence in the month of September with a new record titled; “Shuperu”.
The ‘Pains’ honcho teams up with award winning singer and Lynx Entertainment’s prodigy, KiDi to unearth this potential hit single off his forthcoming album, ‘Alpha’. ‘Shuperu’ was produced by MOG.
‘’Shuperu’’ is very popular term and it’s the name of a particular dance style. In his own words; ‘I want to revive the term and modify the dance steps to appeal to the new generation. This song appeals to everyone. But especially the ladies’.
Mr Drew, officially called Andrews Commey Otoo, Mr. Drew started his career as a dancer and then later pursued music at the tertiary level.
In 2017, he participated in the MTN hit-maker season six reality show. He took the second position at the end of the competition. He was also nominated in the unsung of the year category at the Ghana Music Awards in 2019.
According to Mr Drew, he draws inspiration from; legendary Ghanaian musician, Kojo Antwi, Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Slim Buster and Terry BonChaka.
Mr Drew is well known for his song “Dw3” with label mate Krymi featuring SarkCess Music boss, Sarkodie. He won the best new artiste at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
