It is no gainsaying to say Nigerians are the best when it comes to comedy in Africa. They are very popular in Ghana at the expense of our comedians. They make people literally laugh their lungs out. Basketmouth, Klint, Teju, etc have all managed to win the hearts of lots of people in this country with their dexterity and craftsmanship.

The newest addition to comedy fraternity is Emmanuella Samuel. The young girl, who is just six years old (she will be seven in July 2017) is not only popular in Ghana but globally. Her Not my real face

skit is even on Malia Ann Obama’s page. Malia is the eldest daughter of the immediate past president of the United State of America so we believe you know what that means.

Emmanuella currently has over 430, 000 subscribers on her YouTube channel and her fan base is just overwhelming. Throwing more light about how her journey started and the impact social media has had on soaring fame Emmanuella stated, “I did not think about that while joining social media. What I thought of was to get a new media where I could have a voice. I saw social media as a new media where you could have a voice without necessarily spending all your life savings. We tried normal television for a long time but it was not working. We had to spend a lot of money and my uncle’s job (Mark Angle-the man who discovered her) could not afford that always so we had to look for other ways to be heard.”

Responding to whether her acting does not interfere with her schooling, she said, “It does not affect my school much. During this holiday, I have started shooting for next season so when I resume school, I will just begin to release the videos. By doing this, it does not clash with my school work. It is only when I have an emergency shoot when school resumes and it is usually on Fridays.”
