Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Argentine, who has endured difficult season due to injuries, will continue to be sidelined after testing positive for the deadly virus.
Aguero will now have to self-isolate, and there are no clues on his eventual return date.
“After isolating myself from close contact, the last test they gave me showed I tested positive for COVID-19 and I had some symptoms and I’ve been following the doctor’s instructions,” Aguero tweeted.
City was hoping to bring Aguero back into the team for the upcoming FA Cup tie with Cheltenham, but that will now no longer be possible.
