The Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo has finally broken his silence over the recent killings of innocent protesters at Lekki Toll gate a few days ago.

The viral video on social media, saw the security army shooting at protesters at the Toll Gate. Many suffered severe injuries while others died at the spot. In the wake of the current happenings, many Nigerians registered their displeasure over the incident as they chant the names of President Buhari and his vice Osinbajo.

Reacting to the incident, Yemi wrote on Twitter, “My heart goes out to all victims of the Lekki shootings and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in a different part of Lagos and other States.”

“I spoke to some of those in hospital. The pain of these terrible events is palpable in our towns and cities, and some losses are irreplaceable, but we can and will get justice for all of them. I stand with Lagos & all other affected states in these trying times. We pray we will never see a repeat of these tragedies in Jesus’ name. God bless you all. – YO”.
