There is a new twist to the on-going captain Maxwell Mahama death saga. It has emerged that contrary to the widely circulated report that he was jogging when some women saw him with a pistol and subsequently raised alarm leading to his lynching, the late soldier actually went to see the townsfolk for a ‘special’ meeting with the leaders of the galamsey operators.
According to news making round on social media, Mahama was killed when he turned up for the ‘meeting’. He claimed before his death, four soldiers had also been beaten by residents of the town after being invited to a similar ‘galamsey meeting’.
