According to Kweku Smoke, most disc jockeys in the country prefer the idea of an artist approaching them with their project before playing it on live radio or in the clubs or the various pubs or events.

He said he believes not every artist in Ghana has all the email addresses of the DJs in the country hence will not be able to send his/ her new project to all the DJs in the country within a specific time.

He pleaded that DJs should try and download his new song from the various musical platforms and play it on live radio or on events and pubs just as they download songs from rappers like Drake and play it without Drake contacting them in the first place.

He took to his official page on Twitter to pour out his frustrations and plead. He wrote; “To all the DJs I got a new one out today Do or Die Abeg try spin am for me enoe be you all your email inoe…Abeg try get am and play for me cus drake noe dey send the song to your emails so use same energy for me Abeg …Thank you“.
