The night was just electrified as President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo drove through the streets of the capital of the Eastern Region, Koforidua.

This is home for the President and it’s just gratifying seeing the crowd mob the convoy. Hundreds who have been waiting in the streets jumped to their feet, running after his vehicle when they spotted him.

He waved a hand at them to signal the people ; “I am home”.For over half a kilometer, the excited crowd followed the President’s convoy and shouted Akufo-Addo’s name. To them it’s a call on a country man.

You could hear the sound of brass and at the far end of the convoy. The convoy could hardly drive through as the crowd wouldn’t allow it. This huge crowd is an indication of what would turn out come December 7 for both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Already the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in the lead in the Eastern Region.
