The Nigerian army has been hard hit by the death of one of its own, Captain Abubakar Siddiq whose death reportedly came by the hands of kidnappers on the Okene – Lokoja Highway while he was driving to Jaji, Kaduna state.

According to an online media report, Captain Abubakar was on his way to undertake a promotional course in Jaji. His mother and wife who were in the car with him and witnessed his death have been abducted by the kidnappers.

The body of the fallen soldier was placed at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, Kogi where other military men and family were reportedly seen on site, waiting to collect it to an undisclosed location.
