Singer Keyshia Cole is being sued for more than $4 million (£3 million) for allegedly punching a woman she found with her then-boyfriend Birdman in 2014.

The R&B star was arrested in September 2014 for allegedly assaulting Sabrina Mercadel during a confrontation at the home of her rumoured boyfriend, record label boss Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams, in Los Angeles.

Mercadel was subsequently granted a restraining order against Cole and filed a lawsuit later that year claiming the singer left her with injuries to her back, neck and finger.According to TMZ.com, Mercadel has now listed the full breakdown of the damages she is seeking. She wants $1.5 million (£1.2 million) for pain and suffering, $500,000 (£388,000) for emotional distress, $2 million (£1.5 million) for loss of use of body parts, $200,000 (£155,000) for future medical expenses, and $350,000 (£270,000) for current and future loss of earnings. Collectively, the damages total $4.5 million (£3.5 million).

Mercadel insisted at the time that her relationship with Birdman was platonic.
