Controversial Parliamentarian, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong got himself trending on social media during the scuffle at the Parliament House during the election of the Speaker of Parliament after Ghanaians noticed that he was quiet throughout the entire brawl.

We all know how the Politician is loud and very controversial but for him to be quiet during the fight got Ghanaians thinking why but also won the admiration of Ghanaians.
Well, he has finally come out to explain his reason for remaining silent during the election.
Speaking on Oman FM, the Member of Parliament representing Assin Central said; “I didn’t want to destroy Akufo-Addo’s swearing-in that is why I sat down quietly and observed the NDC members.

“We [NPP] could have fought,” but it would have dragged and affected the swearing-in of MPs-Elect and eventually the President and his Vice-President’s swearing-in, that is why we from the NPP side decided to be quiet to let the NDC members have their way,” he added.
As a reminder, the newly elected Parliamentarians got themselves in the news after some of them ended up fighting during the election of the Speaker of Parliament. The unpleasant scenes causes on that they got Ghanaians condemning them for their behavior during the election in Parliament.
