Actress and producer Kafui Danku was on the popular KMS show where she talked about a wide range of issues including her marriage which has received much attention from the public in recent times. The actress is married to a white Canadian who is far older than her. This has caused much criticism from her fans.
However the mother of one stated unequivocally that her choice of partner is nobody’s business. She told KSM: “In life, people don’t get all they wish for. There are people who wish to drive a car of their own, but may not even touch a steering wheel before they go to their graves …. I wished I had conceived and given birth years ago, but I thankfully got that recently; but that is just how life goes,” she said.
She admonished people to quit finding fault with people’s choices but rather support them when they need it most.
“People say many things about my decision to settle down with my husband but what they forget is that I’m an adult and I made a choice to settle on him as my life partner. Other people make choices that I may not necessarily like, but its none of my business hence my choice shouldn’t be anyone’s business.”
“People of same age marry a lot these days, but how many of those marriages stand? But I and my husband have been together for years and we are still waxing strong; that is all that matters,” she observed.
