Iyanya often speaks fondly of Ghana. He even dated a Ghanaian with the prospect of marrying her but things fell apart and the relationship evaporated into thin air. The Kukere hit maker was in the country recently and granted an interview to 3FM where he made a revelation about himself and the connection he has with Ghana.
Iyanya said: “One thing Ghanaians don’t know is that my grandmother is from Ghana, (precisely)Accra. “That is the Mills’ family. My grandmother’s name is Anna Mills,” he said.
The singer, whose current album Something has started ‘disturbing ‘ (apologies to Medikal) the charts in Africa already. According to Iyanya, one of the songs on the album titled Odo Ye Wu is specially made for his fans in Ghana.
