Just few weeks, Hiplife artiste Nana Boroo was heavily trolled on social media for his ‘Michael Jackson’ skin complexion when he popped up at John Dumelo’s traditional wedding.

Reacting to the issue for the first time, the Aha Ayede hitmaker told Showbiz in an exclusive interview that his light complexion is not related to bleaching.

He opined that he applies some creams to maintain his skin, but that doesn’t mean he bleaches. He also added that his constant stay in the US is a contributory factor.

He said:

I have not bleached. Anyone who knows me and is close to me will testify that in my family, we are light skinned.

And you know being fair is expensive, it is not easy, it comes with its own issues.

I should be able to take care of myself and get my complexion right but that does not mean I apply bleaching creams.

I just got back from the United States after staying there for a long time so you know, the weather and all got my skin looking lighter.

It will, however, get back to its normal state after a while.

Nana Boroo, real name, Nana Osei Bonsu, shot to fame in 2009 with his hit single, Aha Yede which is still a favourite of party revelers and music lovers throughout Ghana.
