Interpol has finally confirmed the arrest of flamboyant Nigerian socialite Raymond Igbalode, popularly referred to as Hushpuppi.
Garba Umar, the Commissioner of Police (CP) at INTERPOL, revealed in a statement that plans are far ahead into extraditing Hushpuppi from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to his homeland, Nigeria, to face charges of fraud.
According to a report by The Nation, INTERPOL is working aptly to arrest all his accomplices in the alleged fraud as some of his fraudulent activities were committed in Nigeria.

“It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the INTERPOL. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.
“Some of the offences were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are accomplices in the country who we are currently on their trail,” said the CP.
As reported earlier Hushpuppi was arrested including Woodberry for hijacking the database of the US unemployed impersonating them to take ther unemployed benefits from them.
They are said to have defrauded the US government of about $100 million, a fund allocated to alleviate the Coronavirus pandemic in some American states.
