Ghanaian singer Kidi, born born Dennis Nana Dwamena, has modestly admitted that he wouldn’t yearn for the prestigious ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the next edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Whilst most of his colleagues, notably Fancy Gadam and Ebony have boasted that they deserve the award next year because they have worked hard for it, Kidi has kept his expectations under wraps.

Kidi has been phenomenal with his two singles Odo and Say You Love Me making massive everywhere.

In an interview with Naa Ashorkor on the program Showbiz A-Z that, the young man said:

This year I’ve put in work but honestly I don’t think I’m ready for ‘Artiste of the Year’…I’m still working.

Asked if he will accept the award should he get it, Kidi believes, “it will be a blessing that God has given me but deep down, sometimes you get some blessings…God has to prepare you for the blessing, if you are not ready and the blessing comes you will not know how to handle it.”
