The brouhaha surrounding this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards still persist, days after the event ended.

The Most Popular Song of the Year and Popular Gospel Song of the Year has been contentious, with many people still wondering why the awards didn’t go to Patapaa and Patience Nyarko respectively even though Charterhouse has explained that everything that happened was determined by votes.

However, High-life musician, Nero-X is not convinced the votes could have been the factor, adding that Patapaa deserves the award irrespective of the votes.

“They claim votes are taken into consideration in awarding an artiste for a particular category, but how sure are we?” Nero X stated in an interview with Evans Amewugah on SVTV Africa’s SVTV Chat
