Ace High-life artiste, Dada Kwakye Dua, known in showbiz as Dada K.D, has revealed that he had always thought Nigerian superstar, Davido was a Ghanaian.
Dada KD made the controversial statement during an interview on Kasapa FM with Kojo Preko Dankwa. He said when he returned to Germany, there has not been a single day he wouldn’t hear Davido’s song so all along he thought he was a fast rising Ghanaian artiste until recently.
He said:
I was thinking Davido was a new artist who resides in Ghana because of the rate at which his songs were being played over and over again just to realise he is a Nigerian art. So then how could we play his songs so massively in Ghana like that?
Dada K.D. advised Ghanaian presenters to spend more time on promoting Ghanaian music.
If we could promote other people’s songs in Ghana, then why can’t we do same and even more for our very own. Its time we sit up and love our very own because if we don’t no one will do it for us.
