Fast-rising artiste, Fancy Gadam has dispelled rumours that he uses voodoo (popularly called juju in Africa) because of his ‘sudden rise’ and huge fan base. Fancy Gadam became a household after he won New Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), in 2016.

The musician also has the ability draws to draw large crowds to his shows which is baffles lots of people considering the fact he’s a new artiste on the block.

He told Showbiz in an interview that his achievement in the music industry is due to hard work and nothing else.

“I have actually heard people say I use Juju in building my large fan base but there is no such thing but hard work and blessings from God.

I believe in God who gave me the talent and I thank Him for giving me the talent to capture the Northern Region with my music.”

The pride of the North disclosed that humility has brought him this far.

“ I think about my fans more than I think about myself. Their worry is my worry and I am in touch with them every day through my social media outlets” he said.

Fancy Gadam said he started building his fan base a decade ago when he was an underground artiste and he is glad he has become a household name today through his hard work.

“I used almost five years to build my fan base and I can confidently say there is no artiste in Ghana who is bigger than me in the Northern Region of Ghana” he said proudly.
