Swedru-based musician, Patapaa is living the dream which has eluded even mainstream artistes. The young man has risen from obscurity to fame thanks to his highly infectious One Corner song which is currently the biggest song in the country.
One Corner has been heavily endorsed by other musicians and celebrities. They have all joined the bandwagon, trying to outdo each other with weird dance moves (often sekzually suggestive) when the song is played.
One would have thought this directly augment his wallet but on the contrary Patapaa said he has not made a penny from the viral song.
He said:
“Oh boss what I can say is that, I’m really content with how far my song has traveled but I can sincerely say that I can’t boast of GH¢1000 in my pocket from this hard work.”
He is however optimistic that things will be favorable with time.
