Ghanaian rapper, Worlasi has caused a stir online by stating categorically that he doesn’t believe in the Bible, the sacred book of Christians.

Judging from the way Ghanaians are deeply immersed in religious matters and hold the Bible in high esteem, his comment won’t definitely go down with a lot of people.

Explaining his stance in interview with Zylofon Media, Worlasi indicated that he takes inspiration from the book but he wouldn’t say he actually believes in it as the infallible word of the creator of the Universe.

He said:

“If you say believe, I don’t know what you mean by believe but I wouldn’t say I believe in the Bible.”

“Yeah, I respect the Bible anyway. I cannot tell you that I have to believe in Allah before I read the Qur’an, it doesn’t make any sense. I can read the Qur’an [or the Bible] for inspiration.”
