Today the spotlight is on two wonderful couples, Akama Mubarik & Hamidu Taibatu who hail from Bawku in the Upper East Region of Ghana and have been married for two years now- they dated for a year and married the following year.
According to Hamidu who spoke to www.Ghgossip.com, they met on Facebook (now to those who think there’s no love on social media, take note) and although she admitted initially she thought it was joke, her man showed all serious in the first three months of their relationship.
Hamidu said they both made a good impression on themselves on the first day and this convinced them beyond doubt that they were soul mate form the very their eyes met.
“He was the one to say I love you first, it was in his room, he was like baby I love you very much that I don’t want to loose you to anyone,” she recounted the first time the proposal came through.
Describing their first ever kiss, Hamidu said, “It was so sweet that I never wanted our lips to depart.” With the passage of time, the pair decided to let their family know the indescribable mutual love they shared so the man took the initiative to introduces her to the parents and vice versa.
Hamidu Taibatu is a businesswoman and Akama works at the station and although the nature of their work demand that they are always apart most of the time, their love keeps together at all times.
According to Hamidu, it’s her wish to have six kids with her husband but since it’s Allah who gifts children, she leave Him to decide.
She says her man loves their local delicacy, Tuo Zaafi and okro stew the colours that appeal to him are white & blue.
Akama is a great fan of Chelsea FC and loves singing too. The pair believe spending quality time anywhere can illuminate love all around them and not necessarily visiting a romantic place for pleasure.
On the craziest thing she has ever done for her man, Hamidu said she once absconded from home without anyone of her family members knowing her whereabouts just to be with him.
