Hip Hop icon and business mogul Jay-Z has cashed out on a $297 million deal after selling majority shares of his musical platform Tidal to Twitter owner Jack Dorsey.

You may recall GhGossip made a post about a possible deal between Jay-Z and the owner of the tech giant company after they were spotted on a vacation trip with Beyonce last year.

Tidal is a musical platform which is finding it difficult to compete with with giants and notable streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music and its owned by Jay-Z, his wife Beyonce and music ‘goddess’ Rihanna.

Jack Dorsey through his Square company will pay $297 million in stock and cash for the stake in Tidal and Jay-Z will also join Square’s board.
