Most Ghanaian parents often predetermine careers they really like their kids to pursue when they grow up.

They do so without considering what the kid really wants to do. We actually don’t know if that was the situation Ghana’s most prolific striker, Asamoah Gyan found himself.

However, the man who is affectionately called Baby Jet revealed in an exclusive interview that he has always wanted to be a footballer when he was a kid.

“…, at Seven Great, during that time, a teacher will come to class and ask, what do you want to do? People will be saying doctor, President and the ‘elite jobs’ but for me I knew what I wanted to be”, he said.

He said that, at that time footballers were considered as illiterates so he was proud to mention that he wanted to be a footballer.
