It has been four good days since rapper Sarkodie launched his road safety campaign after he suffered an accident himself.
Though the man is not one of my favourite people in this world because I have always felt he is so full of himself and I know deep down my arteries and capillaries (cue from Medikal) that he indeed is full of himself, there is a need to admit that what he is doing is commendable.
We have lost far too many in road accidents– not that this will be any different because these are cankers we are very much aware of yet we sit and watch them destroy us.
We all hope it does not end at Kempinski (venue of the launch) with all the glitz, glamour and flashes but each one of them present would lift yet another finger to reduce this to the barest minimum.
Talking about all who were present at the event, we saw almost all the musicians and people who matter in life at the event except for our very own Shatta Wale— the self-acclaimed dancehall king.
We hear the man was in the country but as to why he did not grace the occasion remains a mystery we are still looking at solving.
