Here’s what he wrote;

Today I want to celebrate this Legend, Uncle Larry Koldsweat.

Though it’s not his birthday today.

I directed him in my directing debut in 2006 and after the job he commended me and told me I would make it in Nollywood.

But he didn’t stop there.

Almost every week he would call me and ask me if I was working.

My answer most times was ‘no’ cos the jobs weren’t coming then.

He kept on encouraging me never to give up, that he believes so much in me.

One day Uncle Larry called me and told me had secured a movie job for me in Lagos, to assist a director (Emeka First Image) but I should hold on for him to speak with the executive producer to make sure I would get paid before coming.

I couldn’t wait, my blood dey hot as always.

For me it has always been passion before money, so I took the next available bus from Enugu to Lagos, went straight to his hotel room and knocked.

Uncle Larry was shocked to see me.

He said to me, but I told you to wait let me ensure that you will get paid before coming.

I told him that I needed to work, whether I would get paid or not wasn’t my problem, I needed to show the talent I had in me.

He was so touched.

He placed his hand on my head and prayed for me, and told me that with that kind of zeal in me I would become one of the greatest in no distant time.

And the rest is history.

I will always celebrate you Uncle Larry.

Long life, protection, blessings upon blessings I wish you in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

THANK YOU UNCLE LARRY KOLDSWEAT.
