Communication Team Member of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by President Akufo-Addo is action soft on Western Togoland secessionist.
“It’s important that we set the record straight. The secessionist activity didn’t start on Friday. In discussing this matter, everyone should get some knowledge. We must know the root of the matter and uproot it.” He said speaking on Accra-based Starr 103.5 Fm Show Morning Starr monitored by Ghgossip.com
According to him, there has been only unity in Ghana since independence and so, any attempt to cause separation must be crashed.
“Since Ghana was put together, we have been united so any attempt to separate it must be crashed.” He added.
However, he also said there have been attempts to create division and separation but the governments in those times crashed the attempts.
“Under Nkrumah, it happened and he crashed it. Acheampong did same but this government appears to be treating it with kid gloves.”
Nevertheless, the Minister for Information Honorable Kojo Opong Nkrumah has said the country’s security agencies have launched a chase to the leader of secessionist Papavi

Mr. Benjamin Essuman insisted that government ghould deploy more millitary to the area.
“We must get the military in patrolling the area, heighten intelligence and also recruit residents to provide information.”
