A Gospel musician, Heben Ajayi has died after he was attacked and shot by armed robbers at his residence a week to his wedding in Akure, Oyo State.
According to a friend, MC Shayor who broke the sad news on Facebook, Heben born Ebenezer Ayeni was rushed to UCH but he was not attended to because he could not provide Police report and was also rushed to J-rapha hospital in Ibada and they also refused to admit him and treat him because of Police report and there he gave up the ghost after struggling with his life for about 3 hours.
According to MC Shayor who was extremely heartbroken, they were planning for his wedding next week and not his burial.
He said;
“We rushed him University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State and the medical personnel demanded a police report before he could be attended to after we explained that he was shot by armed robbers. Then we rushed him to a private hospital —J-Rapha Hospital and they also refused to treat him without a police report.
He bled for three hours. Unfortunately, he died while we were trying to look for another hospital to take him to. It’s absurd that this happened, he could hav been alive if these hospitals had treated him first before demanding a police report. His wedding was to take place next week. It’s sad!,”
Meanwhile, friends have taken to social media to express anger at the incident.
