On Monday, June 15, news filtered in that veteran Highlife artiste, Nana Tuffour has died after a short illness adding to the gloomy picture the year has painted so far in Ghana and other countries.

Let’s go through a list of Ghanaian musicians who have died in 2020 so far.

Prophet Seth Frimpong

Seth Frimpong also known as The Dancing Prophet or Okumchola was a Ghanaian gospel artiste and dancer. He churned a lot of hit songs before he shockingly went into hibernation, only to surface recently to reveal a long tale of life battles he was fighting. He died on April 24, 2020.

Nana Tuffour

James Nana Tuffour, popularly called 9924 died a few hours ago today- June 15, 2020.  Nana Tuffour had 15 albums to his credit, some of which includes- Odo Kakra, Sika Kakra, Akatakyiwa, Owuo Sei Fie, Me Yere Dada, Abeiku, Nyankonton, Adiepena, M’anu Me Ho and many others.

Kofi B

Kofi B was one of the best specialist of contemporary Highlife music until he sadly passed away on February 2, 2020. Preliminary report suggested he died of cardiac arrest.

CK Bedi

C.K. Bedi died on April 6, 2020. He was a Ghanaian keyboardist who worked with the likes Yamoah, Obuoba JA Adofo and other veteran Highlife artistes.
