President Nana Addo Dankwa has entreated Ghanaians to judge him by his performance in his four years of administration and make a better decision on December 7 at the polls of the general election.

President Akufo-Addo is convinced he has performed, and his administration has delivered to deserve another 4 years in office.

At the sod-cutting of Tema Regional Hospital yesterday, he said his government is committed to providing universal healthcare to all Ghanaians, so that they can access a quality heathcare.

He said “We’re taking another step towards another extremely important objective of our country. That is to guarantee Universal Health Coverage for every single Ghanaian. That we will have access to good quality healthcare for every single Ghanaian.”

The 400-bed capacity Tema Regional Hospital, which will cost 160 million euros is expected to be completed in two years from this year.

When it is fully completed, the hospital will boast of six operational theaters, intensive care unit, pharmacy and housing facilities for staff among others.

“I am so excited because this particular project has been on the drawing board forever a decade. Nine years ago, when I was working here, I was told that very soon we will stop keeping our women on the corridor and that the hospital will come.

“Eight years of NDC administration, the hospital never arrived. But today we are here to see the commencement of the project.” The Deputy Health Minister Bernard Oko-Boye said in his optimism for the completion of the Tema Regional Hospital.
