According to former President John Dramani Mahama, the EC has not involved the political parties enough in the registration and the exhibition process of the Voters Register.

He says involving political parties int he registration process will make it easier for a party to accept losing the election

“The political parties are critical stakeholders in the electoral process. And all of them must feel confident that they have participated in the processes leading up to the election.”

He added that the EC is carrying out the Voter Register process in ‘secrecy’

He said “When you go in secrecy and all kinds of things, and the processes are flawed, you don’t expect me to say I accept the results of a flawed election. I won’t.”
