Mr. Prince Kofi Amoabeng, former Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of defunct UT Bank has disclosed that, the collapse of UT Bank was coupled with high level of staff thievery and huge loans to Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Mr. Amoabeng has revealed in a one of his media interviews in Accra, on the collapse of UT bank.

He publicly said, large number of staff members who were employed in bank were ‘plain thieves.’ who selfishly stole large part of the banks money.

He also said loans that were given to Ibrahim Mahama’s Dzata Cement Company, were never paid back which caused bigger problem for the bank.

However, Mr. Kofi Amoaben says he does not regret lending such a huge loan to Ibahim Mahama’s Dzata Cement Company.

Expressing his opinion on Presidential Candidate John Dramain Mahama of NDC, promise to revamp collapsed banks when elected into power, Mr. Amoabeng say such promises are not feasible but only pleasant to the ears.
