President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday 20 September 2020, in his speech on Ghana Covid-19 updates, says mask wearing is still mandatory in the country.

Speaking from the Jubilee House, the President said face mask wearing remains compulsory for all to abide by in his 17th update on Covid-19 in Ghana.

The President also added the government has done well in fighting against the Corona Virus disease and it’s still doing it best to help fight it. However, the admonished the citizens to adhere the safety protocols of the Covid-19

In so doing, the Ministry of Health Ghana (MoHG) has advised that, all the safety protocols must be adhered to. And face mask wearing plays a pivotal role in preventing infection of the novel Covid-19

The President said “I appeal to each and everyone of you to continue to trend on the path, constructed by the government, and follow religiously, all the social distancing, mask wearing, and enhanced hygiene protocols.”

According to President Akufo-Addo, the safety protocols remains the country’s strongest weapon in fighting Covid-19 in Ghana.

“They remain, our strongest weapons against the Virus.”

Again, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also call Ghanaians to keep their heath an important issue. Asking them to continue to train to keep fight so that, their body immune system can fight against diseases.

Moreover, he said Ghanaians should eat more local diet that are helpful to boost the immune system as well.

He added “In the same manner, we have to remember to continueing improving our fitness by exercising and eating well, patronizing our healthy Ghanaian foods, which will boost our immunity to the disease and help us in the fight against pandemic.”
