A young Kenya couple who demonstrated that love is not all about money but love were rewarded with a lavish wedding on Valentine’s Day.

The groom, Wilson Mutura and his bride, Ann Wambui 24 are both fruit vendors and come from a poor suburb in Nairobi. The couple first had their which cost just $1. They walked down the aisle in jeans and red T-shirts. This modest act of theirs went viral and caught the attention of many benevolent that came in a whopping $35,000 worth of funded ceremony for the couple to renew their vow.

They also received financial support from their benefactors to help them start a blissful life. One other sponsor has reportedly gifted them a small green house farm to start an agribusiness whilst another also paid for their honeymoon.

In these modern times people do everything unimaginable to contract weddings at staggering amount which later tends to threaten the marriage. There have been several news items involving couples who borrowed money to throw lavish weddings only to be chased to pay money back.

This Kenyans have paved the way, let’s learn to be prudent.
