Recall, Caleb Kudah was arrested along with his colleague, Zoe Abu Baidoo for unauthorized filming upon his visit to the premises.

But the Ministry’s Investigation Committee said that it has established that the journalist’s unauthorized entry into the National Security was unlawful.

Caleb Kudah was reportedly manhandled and maltreated by some of the officers upon interrogation. Caleb narrated that at some point, he had to denounce his ethnicity in order to avoid more beatings.

Many condemned the actions of the officers against the journalist for what they believe could have been a peaceful interrogation.

In reaction to that, the National Security Ministry released a statement indicating that it will be investigating the matter.

Well, in a recent development on the case, the Investigation Committee commissioned by the Ministry indicted the Director of Operations, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Agyeman, and three police officers for their misconduct which is in contravention to its standard operations.

Lt. Col. Agyeman’s secondment to the National Security has been revoked, according to a statement signed by the Sector Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah.

He must also send a recommendation to the Chief of Defence Staff for further investigation and sanctions.

The three police officers have also been withdrawn from the National Security and are to report to the Ghana Police Service for further probe and disciplinary actions.
