Fire Service Personnel Turned Up In A Taxi To Put Out Fire [VIDEO]

The Fire Service Department of Akyem Begoro in the Eastern region caused a huge stir on social media after some personnel of the department responded to an emergency call able a house burning in the locality.

The personnel after several hours after residents called to logged a complain about a burning house stated that the only fire truck at the station which is used to service the entire area has broken down about a week ago.

The service personnel had no other choice but to attend to the situation with a hired taxi and a tricycle (what we normally referred to in the local language as Abobo Yaa) with their small fire extinguishers.

By the time they got to the scene, the residents in the area had already prevented the fire from spreading to other houses around and has put off the fire using their own discretion and the traditional way by fetching water from nearby houses to quench the fire.

The fire was put out completely when the Fire Service personnel started using their fire extinguishers in some areas that were still burning, but at that time, the house and some properties in there were burnt beyond recognition.
