Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has jumped in to support his colleagues after a ban was placed on celebrities by FDA and Gaming Commission.

He indicated that banning celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages and betting companies will not help the country to move forward.

In 2015, the Food and Drugs Authority FDA places the ban on celebrities and a few days ago, the Ghana Gaming Commission also issued a directive to its members not to use celebrities entice the public to gamble.

The ban has not gone down well with celebrities and creative as they state that the regulatory agencies are stopping their income streams.

Shatta Wale has also added his voice to the discourse and call his colleagues to stand against the ban being place on them.

According to him, it’s very sad that the authorities are removing food from celebrities’ mouths and it won’t affect him but some people in the industry will be affected.

The dancehall king emphasized that actors and actresses will lose if the ban is not lifted so Ghana celebrities should wake up and talk against the law
