Fatau Keita, a songwriter and singer says dancehall artiste in Ghana don’t make sense and we agree with him. All that these people do is put words together and form confusing sentences, add beats and pass it off as music to disturb our ears.

Speaking on the Ohemaa Woyeje show, he said he is nit afraid of saying these things because he stands for the truth and these songs should not be given any airplay.

Adding that the youth looks up to a lot of these artistes.

“The dancehall artistes don’t make sense. I will urge Ghanaians to minimise the airplay of dancehall music, regardless, we need to portray ourselves and sell our music abroad.

In the world we know how violent they are and how they fight with each other…”

“It doesn’t tell good things about the industry.

There is no sense in it. Because these are the people the youth are looking up to…”

“If I am saying something that will help the nation, I don’t care… ”

“The dancehall music should be less played. The hi-life genre should be uplifted. That is what we are known for as Ghanaians…” he said.
