Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong has bragged in responds to his critics who wants him to be jailed for contempt, saying he won’t stay in jail for long even if the court do sentence him to prison on contempt grounds.
“I want to be sitting in my house and enjoying. Those who want to be President should just give me jobs to do and stop the envy. Even when I’m jailed for how long will I be in jail for?”
According to his own allegations, some members of New Patriotic Party (NPP) fraternity have been calling his personal lawyer to leave the case and not defend him so that, the court will sentence him to prison.
“All those calling my lawyer that I should be left alone to be jailed, the case is not over so I am not going to say anything about it. If you are not brave you won’t support the NPP because I have NPP members calling my lawyer to ask him why he won’t leave me so I get jailed.” He emphatically said.
Honorable Kennedy Agyapong said those people in the NPP who are calling for his sentence into prison thinks he want to become a president.
He said such assumptions are needless, and baseless because, he is a businessman who dreams of becoming an industrialists to open businesses and make good amount of money and not a president of Ghana.

“They are saying I want to become president, me Kennedy Agyapong. Just give me work so I can make some cash and open industries. If you know the industries I am putting up, I want be president of Tema (industrial area) instead. Those who want to be president are there, just give me contracts, case closed. Stop the envy and asking that I be jailed, for contempt how long will I even be jailed for?” he questioned.”
