Pope Francis has prayed for restoration of peace, justice and unity in Nigeria following the ongoing killings of #ENDSARS protesters in Nigeria.

The Pope extended his prayers to Nigeria On Sunday October 25 after reciting the Angelus in Saint Peter’s Square in Rome. He said peace will be restored in Nigeria “through the promotion of justice and the common good.”

He said.

“I follow with particular concern the news coming from Nigeria about the recent violent clashes between law enforcement agencies and some young protesters.”

“We pray to the Lord that all forms of violence will always be avoided, in the constant search for social harmony through the promotion of justice and the common good.”

The Pope didn’t end his submission there. He also tweeted his prayers for Niger.

The Pontiff tweet read “Let us pray to the Lord for Nigeria, so that every form of violence might always be avoided, in the constant search of social harmony through the promotion of justice and the common good.”
