Popular singer Ed Sheeran deleted his Twitter account this morning – without giving any kind of public explanation to his fans.
The decision has come just a day after he made a cameo appearance in the hit series Game of Thrones, which prompted a mixed response from online critics.
It has been suggested that Sheeran was possibly sick of receiving the negative backlash following his short appearance on the show and decided to leave the social media site to get away from all of the hate.
This isn’t the first time that Sheeran has made this bold move as he has previously admitted to having a love-hate relationship with the popular social media platform.
He recently announced:
“I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it. I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that.”
