It’s has been enshrined in our customs and traditions that one should not speak ill of the dead. But Ernest Kwesi Ennin, an artiste manager and CEO of Media Excel, went out of his way to describe the death of Franky Kuri and Atsu, two of Ebony’s friends who died with her in that gory accident, as STUPID!

Explaining his statement, Mr Ennin said the deceased were not signed to Ruff Town Records, which means they are not regarded as team or label members.

So he’s wondering what they were doing with Ebony at that particular moment when the accident occurred.

Here’s what he said:

Following an artiste doesn’t qualify you a team or a label member. As an artiste manager, I will advise individuals to desist from that act.

To me, I think Ebony’s special aids died the most stupid death because, none of them were signed onto the label neither were they assigned by the label to embark on such duties that ended up taking their precious lives.

When an artist begins his career, it is his manager who is mostly seen around him or her, but you can’t say same after the artiste starts to make waves.

All manner of people want to force themselves and be part of this success story and that is only advisable if the label agrees to sign you. If not don’t force yourselves on them.
