Owing to the continuous nuisance posed by the deadly coronavirus after- grounding all life activities to a halt including the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the late Ebony will invariably retain the ‘Artiste of the Year’ accolade for three consecutive years.

Ebony won the topmost award in 2018 only to die in a ghastly motor accident a few months later with two others around 11: 45pm at Nyame Bekyere near Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region.

As fate may have it, Ebony retained the award in 2019 after the infamous brawl of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy during the award ceremony which made the organizers annul the winner of ‘Artiste of the Year’ and other topmost awards after for the rest of the evening.

And from the look of things, Ebony might still be ‘reigning’ as the fate of the award hangs in a balance owing to coronavirus and its corresponding lockdown.

No wonder Ebony has ‘Reign’ in her name. Her father will have the last laugh-as it were!
