The Executive Director of the Alliance for Christian Advocacy Africa, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni Frimpong, has appealed to the sensitivity of Ghanaians against the bastardization and abuse of members of the LGBTQ + community.

Despite condemning the practice of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer and Intersex community and calling for it, he maintained that they should not be subjected to forms of abuse and physical harm for their actions.

He warned that, like any other crime, people found in such practices must be reported to the police for arrest.

In addition, Reverend Opuni Frimpong stressed the need to maintain love and respect for the people of the community, but indicated that Ghanaians should do so without violent.

“Landlord’s should not evict people for being LGBT. We shouldn’t punish people in the workplace and all that for this … we shouldn’t. If something is not right, there must at least be love and respect. It does not mean that we should mark the practice correctly; that one we shouldn’t, “he said in an interview with GhanaWeb.

The former secretary general of the Christian Council of Ghana also praised government officials who clarified the nation’s position on the matter and called for the strict toughening of the laws around LGBTQ +.
