Ghanaian business and music mogul Desmond Black ore popularly known as D-Black has officially declared himself as an ‘old gee’ (OG) as he celebrates 10 years in the music industry.

Originally, D-Black came into the Ghanaian music space in mid-2009 when he was in a musical duo with his former best friend Kweku T and releasing a group album together titled ‘Target Practice’ with their biggest songs been ‘Move’ and ‘Breathe’.

They both sparked a whole controversy when they suddenly announced their intentions of going solo the following year as D-Black went on to drop his first solo album as a recording artist that same year titled ‘Music, Love, and Life’.

D-Black has since released three additional albums, one mixtape, and an external playlist including ‘The Revelation’ album in 2012, ‘Lightwork’ album in 2016, ‘Hunger and Thirst’ mixtape which was released in 2017, ‘Smoke and Mirrors external playlist in 2019 and his latest album ‘Loyalty’ which was released a couple of weeks ago.

He has been nominated and won several awards in his career as a musician including Ghana Music Awards, Ghana Music Awards UK, 4syte Music Video Awards, BET Awards, Ghana Gospel Industry Awards, Channel O Music Video Awards, Ghana Entertainment Awards, African Music Awards, London, etc.

As he’s celebrating 10 years in the industry, D-Black now regards himself as an ‘OG’. He posted on Twitter “10 years in the game, Officially OG status“.
