Reports reaching our outlets claim that an Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Lawrence Abrokwa, who happens to be the ex-husband of popular comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger.
This comes after he has refused severally to appear before the court as the case which was expected to receive its judgment on Monday 23rd March 2020 saw the defendant Abrokwa nowhere to be found.
Abrokwa was being held on two counts of domestic violence to with emotional, verbal and psychological abuse, the threat of harm, assault, the publication of obscene material, carrying an offensive weapon, causing unlawful damage and stealing.
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, issued a bench warrant for his arrest and adjourned the case to April 1.
The accused had, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of GHC 20,000.00 bail with three sureties, who should be gainfully employed.
