At our present political dispensation when the majority of Ghanaians think former President, John Dramani Mahama has no ‘size’ when it comes to developmental projects, Nana Akufo Addo has pierced hole into that cliché by insisting that he’s done better.

In his view, the electorates should juxtapose their achievements and see who stands tall. Moreover he wants his leadership qualities to be compared to his rival before they go to the polls and see who’ll emerge victorious.

President Akufo-Addo was addressing the members of his Communications Advisory Team via Zoom from the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House on the ninth day of his self-quarantine. He said the comparison has become necessary because this is the first time in the history of Ghanaian politics that a sitting president is going to the polls with a former president as his contender.

 ‘We have to be very insistent on looking at the records of the two leaders in the period of their governorship. I think that is inescapable, as far as this contest in concerned,’ the president said. He said it was important for Ghanaians to ask who better could manage the affairs of the country, both in normal times and in extraordinary times like these past four months.
