JJ Rawlings

Members of beleaguered party, NDC whose party suffered a rather embarrassing defeat in the just ended election have humbly implored the founder of the party to, as a matter of urgency; assume his former role once more.

The latest person to add his voice to the call is Mallam Issah, a former youth and sports minister. It will be recalled that soon after the incumbent party, led by John Dramani Mahama lost the election, the party suddenly slumped into a scope of accusation arena.

Whilst some accused the hierarchy of the party for the abysmal performance, others laid the blame right at the doorstep of ex-president Rawlings, saying his action and inactions caused the party’s defeat.

In an apparent quick rebuttal, Rawlings blamed the defeat on the numerous corruptible and uncouth behaviour of the party in his annual 31st December Revolution speech.

Mallam Issah including thousands of the party faithfuls think if Rawlings become active in the affairs of the party, they will come to power in 2020.

From the foregoing, we believe it will be prudent if the party analyse their defeat into perspective and stop the blame game.

That will surely be the catalyst to their revival and a possible return to power.
