The quest for luxury life did not start today in Nigeria as videos and photos from times past reveal that the leaders of the country lived larger than life in their hay days. A case study is former president Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s 1959 Buick Electra 225 Luxury Convertible car.

He was known to be a man of luxury as he owned one of the expensive cars in the world during his time as president. He owned the 1959 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. The car was sold for $4,192 back in 1959 i.e N1,597,990 today. The car clearly inspired the aircraft period with it signature tail fins.
