Popular gospel musician, Bro Sammy will certainly go down in history as the first gospel musician to release a diss song aimed at a fellow gospel musician.
Bro Sammy’s infamous conduct has caused outrage amongst a section of Ghanaians and the gospel fraternity.
If you are lost on this one, let me fill you in. Last year, Bro Sammy was at a crusade organized by gospel musician and prophetess, Cecilia Marfo of Afunu Ba
During the crusade, the Holy spirit according to Cecilia, directed her to deliver Bro Sammy who was under the influence of the devil.
The deliverance took place in the full glare which was also filmed. Cecilia Marfo, amidst the deliverance, proclaimed that Bro Sammy was an occultist who has been sent by God to destroy His people.
But few days after that episode, Bro. Sammy came out to say the deliverance was orchestrated by Cecilia to disgrace him because he had no idea what actually transpired that very day. Therefore he vowed to retaliate and the product is this infamous diss song.
And true to his words, he released a diss song which is fraught with insults. For this reason, some aggrieved musicians, notably OJ and Nobele Nketia expressed their displeasure on the Drive Time Show, Ofiekwanso.
According to them, Bro Sammy’s song is the most stupid gospel song ever hence he has to render an unqualified apology to Ghanaians especially Christians for ‘disgracing the name of Christ’.
“Sammy must come and apologize because it is inappropriate to call a creature of God foolish…we are in a serious business and hence we must act according to the lyrics of the songs we sing…,” OJ said.
“No serious man of God, OJ said, will want to invite him to minister because the Pastor cannot be guaranteed of what you will say when singing.”
